Lean To

A lean-to style of conservatory is ideal for bungalows or those situations where the smallest angles of roof pitch are necessary. It is also complimented by our Keswick Superglaze Warm roof system.

A conservatory construction is a huge investment and this is why it is extremely important to make sure it’s done correctly from the offset.

We always work to building regulations – the diagram below shows an average base which is constructed, although this is adapted to each site to ensure it is structurally sound.

After a sturdy base is laid down, the possibilities open up to whatever you want to get from your new room. This could be a warm roof which creates an all year round usable space, or to get a bit more sun you could install a polycarbonate or glass roof.

The glass we use in the roof is different to glass we use in the windows as we want it to have different properties and effects on the room. Generally they have coatings to provide less solar gain (heat gained from the sun) so the room doesn’t get as hot. This is ideal when the sun is high in summer, and when the sun is lower in winter you still get the solar gain from the windows.
